Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Samoa. The company confirmed availability on October 3, 2024.
Samoa is now a Starlink market, continuing a run of Pacific launches that includes Fiji, Tonga and the Solomon Islands. The announcement concerns Samoa, which is distinct from neighbouring American Samoa.
For a customer beyond a good fixed or mobile connection, the satellite service adds another option. An order still needs to be checked for the actual service address, and a residential installation on an island should not be treated as permission to use the same subscription aboard a moving boat.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
