Who we are
Starlink Insider is an independent publication at starlinkinsider.com. For questions about this policy or your data, email [email protected].
Comments
The current comment form asks for a display name and comment text. Approved comments are public. Comments are moderated before publication. The form does not ask for an email address or store an IP address with the comment. Security controls use hashed identifiers to limit repeated submissions.
Contact messages
The contact form collects your name, email address, and message so we can respond. Messages are stored privately in our Cloudflare database and may be delivered through our configured email service. Please don’t include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.
Speed survey
The native survey collects country, plan, hardware, test connection, test date and time period, download and upload speed, latency, satisfaction, and interruptions. We do not request a name, email, precise location, or account number. Responses are stored in Cloudflare D1 and accessible to authorized editors. We may publish aggregated findings. The survey does not use Google Forms. A temporary hashed network identifier helps limit repeated submissions; raw IP addresses are not stored in survey records.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare and our hosting providers process network requests to deliver and protect the website. Infrastructure request logs may contain IP addresses and browser information. Editorial accounts use a secure session cookie for sign-in. Public readers do not need an account.
Advertising and analytics
We use Raptive for advertising and Google Analytics for traffic measurement. These providers may process device, browser, and usage information and use cookies subject to the choices available to you. Read Raptive’s privacy statement and Google’s privacy policy for their practices.
Embedded content
Pages may include a Google gateway map, Cloudflare Radar, and videos from external providers. When an embed loads, the provider receives a request from your browser and may process information under its own policy. The speed survey itself submits to this website.
Retention and requests
Published comments and survey records are retained for editorial use. Contact messages are retained to handle correspondence. You can ask about access, correction, or deletion by emailing us. For a survey request, include the submission time and non-identifying answer details so we can try to locate the record. We may need to retain some information for legal, security, or administrative reasons.
Policy updates
This policy was updated on October 15, 2026 to describe the current website and native survey. We’ll update this page when our practices change.
