Starlink has begun opening orders in the Netherlands, continuing its European beta rollout after France and Austria.
A May 13 recipient shared the availability notification. Contemporary Dutch reporting also describes partial availability, with some addresses still offered a preorder instead of an immediate full order.
That is the useful distinction for a prospective buyer. A national opening can coexist with a queue at the individual property, so receiving news that Starlink is serving the Netherlands isn't the same as having a terminal ready to ship.
The service is more likely to appeal where the existing fixed or mobile connection is inadequate. It doesn't need to replace a working fibre connection simply because another provider has arrived.
The Dutch installation directory can help with planning a local setup. The terminal still needs a suitable position clear of obstructions, and the full equipment and recurring cost should be compared with the options available at the address.
