Starlink has begun service in Ireland, initially reaching limited parts of the country.

SpaceX's response to ComReg records July 14, 2021 as the service start. The company filing provides the date, while a contemporary customer discussion describes the address checks and order process.

The limited initial footprint matters. A customer may see an immediate order, a deposit queue or an estimate for later service, depending on the address. Those outcomes are different stages of the rollout.

Ireland follows several other European beta markets, including the United Kingdom and Belgium. A satellite terminal could be useful at a rural home or workplace where a suitable fixed connection is difficult to obtain.

It still needs a workable installation. Trees around a house can create obstructions as satellites move across the sky, even if the site initially looks open from ground level.

The company filing confirms the opening date; it does not establish a performance guarantee for every Irish customer. The useful comparison remains the service actually available at the individual property.
