Starlink has added the Cook Islands to its Pacific footprint. The company announced availability on September 11, 2024.

For an island group spread across a large stretch of ocean, a satellite connection offers a different way to bring broadband to a property. The practical benefit will depend on the connection already available on the individual island, rather than the distance to the nearest city alone.

The Cook Islands launch follows earlier openings in Fiji and Tonga. Those launches expand the regional footprint, but subscriptions and equipment still need to be checked for the address where they will be used.

A dish needs an unobstructed view of the sky, so a convenient spot beside a building may not be the right installation site. Our obstruction guide explains what to check before buying a mount.

For the available plan and total equipment cost, enter the service address on Starlink's map. A regional launch does not establish an identical price across the Pacific.
