Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Zimbabwe. The company confirmed availability on September 7, 2024.
Zimbabwe is now available on Starlink, continuing the company's expansion in southern Africa after Botswana. The announcement establishes commercial availability rather than merely an intention to enter the market.
The appeal could be strongest at properties where a reliable fixed connection is hard to obtain. That said, buying the terminal doesn't settle the whole cost. A mounting position, cabling and a power supply that can keep the equipment running all need to be considered before ordering.
