Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Vanuatu. The company confirmed availability on October 8, 2024.
Starlink said its service was now available across Vanuatu. The island country follows Samoa into the company's Pacific footprint, with customers directed to the official website to check and order service.
The launch could give an outlying property a connection that doesn't depend on a last-mile cable. For a business considering it as a backup, the local setup also matters. A terminal won't keep the office online through a power cut unless the router and other necessary equipment remain powered too.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
