Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in São Tomé and Príncipe. The company confirmed availability on December 11, 2025.
São Tomé and Príncipe has joined Starlink's commercial footprint. The launch adds another African island country, following Cape Verde's entry into the service a year earlier.
The satellite connection could be useful for an outlying property or a business seeking a second route online. It still needs a clear installation site and a reliable power supply. For a larger shared connection, the number of simultaneous users and the local Wi-Fi network need to be considered alongside the satellite subscription.
