Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Cape Verde. The company confirmed availability on December 9, 2024.
Cape Verde has joined Starlink's commercial footprint in the Atlantic. The launch gives customers in the island country another potential way to connect premises beyond the terrestrial service reaching their location.
For an outlying property or tourism business, the useful comparison is with the local alternative, rather than a speed advertised in another country. A satellite terminal also needs a suitable mounting position. Nearby buildings, trees or steep terrain can still interrupt an otherwise promising installation.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
