Latvia's first reported Starlink broadband installation has been connected at a hospital in Aknīste, according to a ministerial announcement.
The April 11 account of the announcement identifies the institution in southern Latvia. It provides a concrete installation milestone, rather than only a forecast about future satellite service.
The example also shows that Starlink's early users need not be households. An institution can use a satellite link where its existing connection is inadequate, although one deployment doesn't establish what every Latvian property can order.
Latvia follows Lithuania's service opening in the Baltic region. SpaceX's subsequent company availability map also confirms Latvia in its operating footprint.
A hospital or office sharing the connection needs local networking and a reliable power supply as well as the satellite terminal. The dish still needs a suitable view of the sky.
The reported first installation is the event dated here. It should not be read as proof of identical service conditions or immediate equipment delivery at every Latvian address.
