Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Jamaica. The company confirmed availability on October 24, 2022.
Jamaica has joined Starlink's Caribbean rollout, following the Dominican Republic earlier this year. The service adds an alternative for customers who would otherwise depend on the fixed or mobile networks reaching their property.
For a guesthouse or rural household, installation is part of the buying decision. Trees, rooflines and nearby terrain can interrupt the dish's view of passing satellites. Finding a reliable mounting position matters more than simply having enough room to put the kit down.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
