Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in the Dominican Republic. The company confirmed availability on July 28, 2022.
SpaceX described the Dominican Republic's addition as an expansion of its Caribbean broadband service. It gives customers a satellite option that doesn't require a new cable to be laid to their property.
The distinction between a national launch and a usable connection at home still matters. A hillside house, rural business or outlying property needs a suitable place for the dish, along with a power supply and a plan that supports its intended use.
