Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Ghana. The company confirmed availability on August 28, 2024.
Ghana's opening was announced alongside Botswana, taking Starlink's African footprint to 15 markets according to the company. The worldwide total stood at 105 countries, territories and other markets.
A satellite link could give a rural household or business another option where a fixed or mobile connection is inadequate. The comparison still starts with the service available at that address. A customer with reliable fibre may have less reason to take on the cost of separate satellite equipment.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
