Starlink is beginning its beta rollout in Germany, starting in parts of the west before expanding in the following weeks.

The launch-week update also describes a New Zealand opening and a wider U.K. service area. Journalist Eric Berger separately records SpaceX's announcement that Germany and New Zealand are being added that week.

The regional wording matters. This is the start of a German beta rollout, rather than a promise that any address in the country can immediately place a full order.

The company directs prospective customers to enter their service address. Where immediate service is unavailable, a deposit can hold a place in the queue, which is different from having a terminal on its way.

Update: a March 10 German full-order report provides an early example of a preorder progressing. One customer's conversion does not establish the same schedule for all applicants.

The arrival follows the U.K. beta opening. German customers planning an installation can consult our local directory and check the proposed dish position for obstructions.
