Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Somalia. The company confirmed availability on August 5, 2025.
Somalia has joined Starlink's commercial service footprint. The company's availability announcement is the relevant market-opening milestone, separate from earlier approval or licensing reports.
The launch could add an option for a property where the available terrestrial connection is inadequate. It doesn't settle the installation requirements or the cost for every customer. A prospective buyer should check the actual service address, the offered plan and any local requirements before purchasing equipment elsewhere and assuming it can be activated.
