Starlink has started opening Slovak customer orders, following the Spanish opening a day earlier.
A January 6 recipient discussion records the availability message. Contemporary Slovak reporting also says SpaceX began contacting the first interested customers that Thursday.
The announcement adds another Central European market after the Czech Republic and Poland. It is still an address-based rollout, rather than proof that every reservation holder can complete an order immediately.
For a rural home or workplace with a poor existing connection, the satellite link could offer another option. A property already served by reliable fixed broadband has a different reason to consider the cost of separate equipment and a recurring subscription.
The installation needs a usable view of the sky. Mountain slopes, nearby buildings and trees can affect that view even where the service is available to order.
A recipient's order message is evidence that the rollout has started. It doesn't establish a national performance average, or the date that every other applicant will receive a terminal.
