Starlink has added Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy to its broadband service. SpaceX announced the two openings alongside Luxembourg on July 22, 2022.
The company said it was serving 36 countries, or 41 markets, at that point. The distinction matters: the two French Caribbean territories are separate service markets in the announcement, rather than two new independent countries.
For Saint Martin, the announcement concerns the French part of the island. It does not establish an opening on the Sint Maarten side, where the applicable service offer needs to be checked separately.
Starlink provides a connection through a dedicated terminal. Customers will need somewhere with a suitable view of the sky, as well as electricity for the dish and router. Nearby buildings and vegetation are part of that assessment.
The announcement does not set out territory-specific prices. Customers can enter their service address on Starlink's availability map to see the equipment and recurring subscription being offered.
