Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in the Maldives. The company confirmed availability on November 10, 2023.
Starlink is now available in the Maldives, extending its commercial service into another Indian Ocean island market. The company's announcement points customers to its ordering site to check a service address.
A direct satellite link could provide another option for a property on an outlying island, or an additional connection for a business. The number of people sharing it matters, however. A single household's requirements are different from those of a hotel trying to serve staff and guests at the same time.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
