Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Kiribati. The company confirmed availability on March 22, 2025.
Kiribati has joined Starlink's Pacific rollout. The announcement adds a country whose islands are spread across a wide area of the ocean, so the actual service location matters more than a single point on a world map.
The service could help connect an outlying property without a new last-mile cable. That does not make a home subscription an unrestricted ocean connection. Customers planning to move between islands by boat should check the plan's geographic and in-motion conditions separately from availability at a fixed address.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
