Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in the Democratic Republic of The Congo. The company confirmed availability on June 3, 2025.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo has joined Starlink's commercial service area. The announcement concerns the DRC, rather than the neighbouring Republic of the Congo, which is a separate country and regulatory market.
For an isolated office, health facility or other site, the service could provide a link without a fixed line reaching the building. Distributing it across the premises is another task. The satellite terminal, local network and electricity supply need to be considered together, particularly where several people will share one connection.
Check the proposed dish position for obstructions before ordering. The plans offered for an address can be checked on Starlink’s live availability map.
