Starlink has launched its satellite broadband service in Côte d’Ivoire. The company confirmed availability on July 16, 2026.

Côte d’Ivoire is now available on Starlink, following the authorisation announced by the government in June. The July service announcement is the commercial launch milestone; the earlier permission was part of getting there.

The government had identified rural communities, schools and health facilities as potential beneficiaries. A satellite link could serve those locations without a new last-mile cable, but the hardware and recurring bill still need to fit the customer's budget. Connecting a larger site also requires electricity and a suitable local network.
