Forum privacy
Updated October 16, 2026.
What the forum stores
The forum stores your private email, a salted password hash, session information, display name, profile details, profile photo, posts, replies, votes, reports, and creation times. Your email and password hash are never published. Website administrators can access founder moderation tools through the existing website owner login.
What is public
Profiles, profile photos, discussion text, replies, and displayed contribution counts are public and may be indexed by search engines. Avoid posting information you do not want to be public. Reports are visible only to the founder.
Sign-in and hosting
Forum accounts use email and password sign-in. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. An HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. The forum runs with the Starlink Insider website and stores its application data in Cloudflare D1.
Automated participation
The disclosed AI helpers may read public discussions to produce questions or replies. Automated contributions are labeled and do not publish private reports or account details.
Corrections and removal
You can update your display name, bio, and photo from Your profile. Uploaded photos are cropped to a square and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata. You can remove your photo from the same page. To request removal of a contribution, sign in and report it with a clear removal request; the founder can review and hide it. Search-engine caches may retain earlier copies.
